Nice. What's happened to the front lip? I want a 1.8 import in white. Though o/h has other Jap cars and future plans that don't include 5s frown ...yet.

The front bumper is pretty close to the ground and appears to have been in a few fights with some speedbumps. Took that pic at the sellers house. First experience of RWD in the snow on the drive home. Interesting to say the least! My mate carved out a path with his defender in the pic above, made it easier.

It looks low - What needs doing to it? Enjoy. So much fun for a little car, and I never thought I'd have one.

I was out early this morning. No snow just frosty. Nice and refreshing though, I appreciate my heater!

Main issue was the battery, got a new one today so it finally starts on it's own steam. Bodywork is different shades of white. A stock bumper is high up on the list of things to buy. Window cables need securing so they work. It could do with a damn good clean both inside and out so once the weather is better I'll get the wet vac and pressure cleaner out of hibernation.

Your MX5 looks lovely, not seen many in yellow.

I've replaced my battery this year (after market alarm fitted was draining it). All good now.

Thanks. I live in a tiny village outside a small market town - typically there's another yellow Mk2 just a dozen cottages along from me!! And several ore locally. Hurumph. Hopefully my boyfriend's going to fit a turbo to mine in the Summer. Mine sounds good with the aftermatket sports exhaust - has a nice whine and pops on the overrun too! Fantastic to redline. Just such a hoot. Had considered lowering it has a great ride as it is and I've been advised against messing with that. Hence I wanted a Mk1 to fettle.

I had my wee project out for a run yesterday.

Still plenty needs doing to it, but it's good being able to get out and drive it.

That too.. the last couple of times, I've had the sun in my eyes so I'm not sure I've ever actually seen the driver of it anyway smile

170,000 mile 1.6 V Special imported in 2003
BMW Mini supercharger with a 15% reduced pulley
Small intercooler with fabricated hard pipes
Megasquirt ECU
Mocal Oil cooler
6 Puck ceramic Competition Clutch
Ultralight Flywheel
Gaz Gold Pro coilovers
Jackson Racing Anti Roll bars
De-CAT
Larini cat back exhaust
Compomotive ML 15 x 8 ET12 wheels
Standard 1.6 brakes with EBC Yellow Stuff pads
Safety 21 4 point rear cage
Sparco Sprint 5 seat
TRS harnesses

It's running 221bhp at the flywheel with a bit of head room for more power in the future. It's quite a giggle.

I do indeed. Used for Trackdays and AutoSolos the last couple of years while I've been adding the charger etc. This year I'm going to run it in some Sprints and Hillclimbs.

I'm based down in North Hampshire and it's fully road legal and I take it out to meets and PH Sunday Services as often as I can.

This is what it looked like when I bought it 3.5 years ago.

Pretty standard apart from the wheels and the front lip.

Bought mine in August for a snip. it had been sitting in a garage for the last 4 years and hardly turned a wheel during that time. Since then, its had a complete overhaul, new roof, new suspension bits, new tyres (the old ones were cracked after being sat all that time) and new discs, pads and calipers. Also replaced the rusty old exhaust and bought a few bits of interior trim off ebay to keep it 100% original. Tested it all out at the weekend and now its on sorn til April. Very pleased with it. :-)

Looks fantastic. I had a very similar situation to you, bought mine at a snip. I've done enough jobs to get it through the last couple of NCTS (our MOT equivalent), but I really need a garage to do a proper restoration on it (which is my intention as things stand). So the new exhaust and replacement shocks is all its really had. I want to change all fluids, put on some better brakes, and change the roof next.

End goal is to have something like yours, really need that garage though as working on a driveway in the rain is not appealing. New house purchase (hopefully) this year should help with that smile
