WHICH Coolant?

I'm about to carry out a coolant change on my 1990 1.6 '5. But which coolant should I use, green or pink?? There doesn't seem to be any colour in there at the moment, hence why I want to flush the 'water' out and put fresh coolant/anti-freeze in. I've tried researching on other forums but there seems to be conflicting info. I've got some green 'Renault' anti-freeze, any good?

At the risk of opening up a fresh debate, any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

use either, it's good practise to do a full flush between each change anyway.

i use pink, others use green. don't think i've heard of any probs with either.

the pink is good for 5 years tho, mine's been in for 3 and no probs at all, i've drained it 3 times so far and it still looks fresh and clean.

Phil from Performance 5 recommended Comma Extreme Green to me but bear in mind my cooling needs are a bit greater than most

Ethylene Glycol coolant is Ethylene Glycol whatever colour it is, just remember to either buy pre mixed or distilled water if you buy concentrate. Myself Halford summer coolant, bright pink for me.

I used the pink stuff from halfords, works perfectly well although one thing to note is the heater runs considerably cooler since I changed it??

I used the pink stuff from Halfords as well. Says that it is particularly good for aluminium engines.

Still got the turkey baster in the garage as well...
