I filled up on Friday, 1.8 Mk 2.5 Sport with the six speed box. 43.83 litres to brim it and that took me 254 miles which equals 26.31 mpg. Thats the worst I've done in a long time, but it was fun

O2 sensor, water temp sensor (thermistor), brake binding - one of those is the usual culprit but it could be any number of things.
It's due for a service soon anyway so I'll get those looked at. Shouldn't be the brakes though as the whole lot has been replaced. I'll add it to Steves list of things to look at. At this rate he'll be doing a complete rebuild!rfn said:
