I've got the chance of buying a CUSCO FRONT UPPER STRUT BRACE, has anyone had any experience of these, are they any good? Cheers

if it's the one that triangulates back to teh bulk head in the engine bay, they are mean to be one of the most effective strut braces (even tho engine bay strut braces as a whole don't do a huge amount). may interfere with aftermarket intakes or superchargers tho.

Unfortunatley its not the one that triangulates to the bulk head. This one simply goes from side to side, take its still ok as far as 'normal' strut braces go? Didn't think it looked that sturdy?

Strut braces do bugger all on an MX5 anyway AFAIK.

They do do something, just not as much as people would like to believe. Mazda themselves fitted them to all their sportier models (some specials and the Mk2.5 Sport). They wouldn't waste their money if they did nothing. They probably work better when combined with other additional chassis bracing.
