I have these on my car and they are not very bright, looking at the wiring, it seems to disappear into the dash board towards the head light switch.
Is there anyway of improving the power from these or are the known to be poor?
Should they have a relay?
Is there a better bulb upgrade?

Do they actually matter? Surely you only want them when it's foggy anyway and brighter fog-lights actually reduce visibility. Please don't say you're one of those who drives around at night with fog lights on "because it looks good"!

People who drive round with there fog lights on are T%&T$.
If they are fitted they should at least work correctly and be useful, one bulb needs replacing anyway, if they are crap as standard I may just remove them.

The point I'm making is that they shouldn't be that bright anyway. They are designed to light the sides of the roads and a shorty distance ahead - say 15-20 feet at most. Foglights should only be used when visibility is below 100M and bright lights that light the road ahead will just reflect off the fog and dazzle you which is why they are designed to give a broad short beam. You can fit brighter bulbs if you like but they won't light the road ahead any better and will be worse in the conditions they are designed for.

I totaly agree but they are not working in what I would describe as a normal working order.
Should there be a relay?
