To be fair, if the Aston Vanquish didnt exist, and this kit came out just as a body kit for a MX5, id happily drive a MX5 with it fitted. It doesnt look too bad. Although, if i where to drive it today, id feal like a tit as i was 'trying to be someone'
Be a good christian and send me a crate of whatever you have been drinking

I agree with that, I reckon if that's what the standard MX-5 looked like, people would think it looks great!

Looking at that kit, it wouldn't bee so bad if it had less of an Aston d b grille, and something other than those over sized rear lights. It's no worse than the retroforza kit, and better than the Mustangette!

I like it.

However, this is the MX5 to have. The extremely rare MX5 Coupe

I like that also! Although the roof seems to be a tad too high.

I think the (proper) MX5 Coupe looks fab. I recall seeing one in retro race trim that looked superb.

Are there any at all in the UK?
This is a car I could be really tempted to buy.

IMHO The Aston thing looks bobbins, although the finish looks good.

Yes indeed.

The pictures seem to indicate a fair ammount of craftsman ship too.

I spent quite some time looking into purchasing one of these (the coupe). The biggest problem is finding one. They do come up very rarely in Jap auctions and go for silly money.

I am not aware of any in the UK.

EDIT AGAIN : The last one to come up for sale : http://www.jdmpassion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=46...

Thanks for the info MonkeyBusiness.

I just tried a bit of a search, but no joy.
Surely some must have been imported, or perhaps one could be imported by special order?

How much did you see them going for?

Ouch - not cheap then.

For £20k I'd plump for a DB7 instead. Beautiful little car though. smile
