My daughter has just bought a 2002 1.8 Sport, which has a single CD/radio as standard. She's been used to a car with a CD Changer, and I was wondering if there is a standard Mazda Multi CD/Tuner (from another model) that would just drop straight in, whether the standard unit is able to control a boot-mounted CD Changer, or whether we'd need to replace the existing unit and also buy a CD Changer. Any info would be much appreciated.

The Clarion WXZ 468 rpm went straight in but having a pro to fit makes it tidier. Speakers to match the sound would be good. When you want it to be, dear God it's loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Better to get an single cd-player that can play MP3s. You'll easily get 10 cds on a single disc without losing any boot space. Changers are old technology - you need to get with the times (even an mp3 cd player is old now - the "kids" play their ipods through their car stereos) wink

Definately what Lazza says. Get a new headunit with an MP3 player socket or which can read MP3s on CD.

I so wish I could plug my MP3 player into the head unit on either of my cars....

MP3 CD's seem old hat. Lidl have a 40w single din radio with usb port blue tooth hands free remote control and an SD card slot for under £50 and it has 3 years warrenty. No need to burn CD's just down load onto the card and away you go.
