I have replaced the CAS 'O' ring and the cam cover gasket but i'm still getting drops of oil on the drive.

I've not had a chance to have it up in the air for a while but would should I be looking for? I get a feeling it's going to be expensive to replace!

Get this sorted and the suspension changed and i'll be a happy man.

When you replaced the cam cover gasket did you put blobs of instant gasket in the "corners"?

Yep, I had the laptop in the garage with me when I changed it over - I followed a diagram that I found on one of the mazda forums.

I can't see any new leaks from that area (from my brief look under the bonnet).

Mine seems to have just started leaking fairly significantly from (as far as I can see) the bottom of the dipstick tube. Not sure how I'm gonna get at that one!

I think it has an o ring seal and is held by a bolt , could be wrong though .

Unless you jet washed the oil off the engine you will find oil can drip for months even after curing the souurce of the leak.

True - but it's still using some oil on a regular basis. Saying that it has got 183k on the clock

Had time this morning to get it up on the ramps - sump plug took a couple of turns to tighten up.

When I changed the oil last it was very cold so I don't think I did it up properly. Fingers crossed it's all sorted now.
