Wondering about getting one for motorway use.

The ones on MX5parts are a horrific price for a pair of tights in a metal frame!

I've noticed there are quiet a few Mk.2 ones on ebay with the mesh pocket and the folding down plastic bits, and they're much cheaper.

Are they easily fittable to Mk.1s?

I'd be interested in the outcome of this one.

I'm after one too - but I refuse to have one of those 'naff' ones where there's a huge elasticated band that you put around both headrests.

I was looking at getting a combined rollbar and windblocker - but all the rollover bars are 'cosmetic' ones and and not functional ones. And that's where I kinda stopped really frown

The MX5parts ones don't look all that great to me, I must admit. The OEM Mk.2 one on my dad's car looks pretty good and they seem to be a lot cheaper s/h. If it can be made to fit a Mk.1 it looks the obvious solution. Couldn't find any relevant threads on MX5oc...

I'd be more than delighted to offer to organise one, if that's ok Kinky?
Dan - I've corrected your post, as you were missing a few words hehe

I have one of these:

Not sure if anyone in the UK makes something similar but it shouldn't be too hard to arrange.

I have a Mk2 one in my Mk1 and I love it.

It works better for us then MK2.5's as we sit significantly lower (even better for me as I'm on a lowered seat).

I also happen to have a few available.

Not sure if blatent advertising is allowed thumbup but if you crossed my palm 49 times I'd post you one or fit one in Solihull.

If someone wants to collect a few then yes.

It takes me longer to wrap one than to fit one.

Do they look like the one in the pic above? How difficult are they to fit? and do they need any modifications to fit a MK1?

Does it really work OK? I have been reading that the mk.2 one is a bit low to work well. Happy to be wrong though!

I deal in MX5's and their parts and I have one in my own car !

Here are some pics in a MK1 (but with Mk2.5 seats fitted)

They bolt straight in using existing bolts.

Note its folded down in 2 pics and up in one.
