Morning all, I notice that a lot of your MX-5 owners have your number plate on the bonnet. I'm thinking about doing this to my 944. Do you get any hassle off the rozzers/MOT testers? Cheers

No problems at all. The rozzers even used my stick on one to call in and check my insurance after the Mrs had a bump. MOT guy's dont care as the car is old enough not to need the BS kite mark etc.

www.craigsplates.com seem to be the supplier of choice.

So what age car can get away without the BS mark then?

2001 at some point I think. Probably anything on a 51 plate or newer. Then they introduced it as part of the MOT test in ~2007 and took it back out 6 months later after lots of complaints.

So you can probably fit anything that looks like a numberplate at the moment. But they might try again to introduce it into the MOT at some point.

Thanks mate, appreciate your help. Are the adhesive ones fairly easy to remove without taking paint off?
