I want one as the plinth arrangement on mine is naff and falling apart (I'm sure the previous owner must have used it as a parking aid..)

Where do you get them? And are they OK come MOT time - presume they are.

It's a subject covered a few times.

Yes the plinth which came off mine left 2 holes in the bumper. These can be "plastic welded" if you want.

Yup, there are a couple of little holes, I'll fill them. It's not a cosmetically perfect car so I'm not overly fussed.

Munter, thanks for the link, I've just ordered one.
I better really concentrate when I line it up as I guess you only get one chance...

Me I slappd my 1st one on. As you say it's tricky to get it level. Fortunately the Mrs smashed up the front of the car so I got rid of that mistake.

There is a technique that involves a hand spray with water and washing liquid in it. Spray that on 1st. Then the sticker can be "floated" around until you get it right.... I've yet to try that, I got the bodyshop to fit it... wink The guys who sticker up to go to Le Mans will know the exact technique.

Get some soapy water, apply to freshly cleaned and polished front end of car. Apply plate, move around until you're happy with the position then use a credit card to remove any air bubbles.

Leave for a few hours, preferably in sunshine, to dry.

Bingo was it's name-o. thumbup

thumbup good advice - I'll have a crack at this on the weekend.
And no sniggering if it ends up lop-sided! hehe
