What do folks think are the unpopular colours for MX5s?

(I like the Copper Red on the latest cars but not sure if it's got the same resale appeal as black /silver / grey etc?)

Galaxy grey is also nice. Silver is just boring & the dark ones needs to be cleaned too often to look good.

Yellow. Though I don't think you can still get the 5s in yellow.

On UK cars yellow tends to be used for special/limited editions, such as the California and Arizona. We'll just have to see whether Mazda brings out one for the mk3.

Colour choice on UK 5's at the moment is shocking. I went for Brilliant Black but it's not a metallic so is a bh to keep clean and on top of. Awesome when freshly waxed but impossible to keep on top of without regular anal attentiveness. I am also being very careful cleaning it as it looks to mark easily.

Metropolitan Grey and Aluminium are imo a little bland, Stormy is ok as is Copper, but not setting my world alight. A sports car needs some good colours and the 5 has none. I'm also disappointed with the lack of choice in interiors - you can have anything you like as long as its black leather ffs.

The Recaros in the JDM 20AE are stunning, for example. And Recaros are also available in Europe - but not the UK.

Rant over.

I seem to remember a pea / mint kinda green on the mark 2 that was pretty rank.

Never liked white on the mark 1's either, but that might be because often unloved UK spec models.

(p.s. Not my picture! Same colour though)

I like this yellow.. I'd imagine it would cut down your prospective buyers though;

Haha, I new I'd post one that someone had!

Actually, your was British Racing Green which is the one of the best colours. Was another I was thinking of, will try and find a picture, it was a sort of turquoise colour.

I like Copper. I'm not a fan of MX5s in light metallics, and think silver does them no favours.

Mrs Theboy has a Mk1 Merlot. Now that's a colour.cloud9

I love the colour of mine, BRG - not out of choice but the right price and just happened to eb the right colour.

I do love the yellow on the MK3 above though.

I'm more than a little biased, but I'm a big fan of Innocent Blue on the 10 AE:
