I had a Y2K SS Camaro and test drove a new V6 - I don;t think you'll have any worries about the new one feeling slow in comparison wink

My friend picked his one up from Cambridge a couple of weeks ago.

All I can say, it is one big car! Looks good on the oustide, have not been in it yet, but the new exhaust brings the best out the V8! It may be an auto, but it likes to get its rear end out on track!

Cheers

Concept for the 6th Gen Camaro?

edit: Started saving for my deposit for a Camaro as well, need to buy a house though to go with it...end of next year can't come fast enough.

I know someone who has recently had a new Camaro via their local dealer in Cambridge.

Chap by the name of Huff.

It's nice, and red too.

Why did he go for the UK one over the US import, was it purely based on the warranty?

It'll be due to it being a company car.

As far as i'm aware only one dealer has both a demonstrator and a showroom car, thats what the delivery driver told me last week.

Passed my local Saab/Chevy dealer by Wimbledon Dog Track today and they were just taking delivery of a new Black Camaro. They also had a couple of Volts as well. They let me sit in the Camaro and although I liked it in the flesh, I have to say that the interior is really below par for a £35k car but I know these are much cheaper stateside so I should not be comparing it with the Germans or even Land Rover.

Sounded nice even though it was running as a V4.

The idea of the Volt was interesting, if what the salesman said was correct. It has a petrol generator that supplies electricity to the motor. He reckoned that a gallon of fuel supplies enough juice for 350 miles and it's a proper sized 4 door car. You charge it up which gets you a 50 mile range and then the genny gets the extra 300 miles.

ETA that those door mirrors are awful. Since when has UK law insisted on van like mirrors on cars?

It really doesn't.

It can, but out the box it's seriously underwhelming
