Got my plates made up in 12x6" now, the number is still on my clio but couldn't resist a little mock-up this afternoon when I rolled the beast out to do some work in the workshop. Will put the paperwork through in the new year, Camaro is entering winter hibernation now so no rush.
This plate is now on a 1986 RR silver spirit V8?

Finally collected it after waiting 5 weeks for the DVLA to sort out the registration in the UK.

The car has been cleaned up and now has no stripes, just the orange paintwork.

Had my eye on this!!

Unfortunately house sale didn't complete in time for me to move on it.

VERY nice looking car that, congratulations, enjoy it.

Is it an ss with a zl1 front end or a zl1?

I saw a red zl1 this weekend and it looked fantastic. I agree these camaros do not suit stripes of any kind.
It is an SS with the full ZL1 bodykit and wheels. 26K miles, DVLA gave it an 09 plate based on build date.

which is annoying, with a UK car it's based on the sale date which does make an difference

Well, to be fair, we could not prove the date of first registration in the USA, so DVLA went on build date. The original registration papers went to the middle-east when the car was registered there in 2013 and were not returned.
