A couple of weeks back had a bored moment and decided the next best thing to do was have a look around for a Cadillac CTS-V. Already realising this was near on impossible, the other half glanced over and took an intrest. She liked the look of them,so off we went looking. We came across a reasonably priced 2006 model year 3.6 and the rest was history. Picked it up a week ago and since then. Fitted a set of wheels and had the windows slightly tinted. People are always asking what it is. Makes a change as therir are no others to be seen on the roads. And the ride is Jaguar like....

Love CTS V's..... Really surprised that those wheels work on it... But they really do. Ride and steering still sharp and ok?

Looks good fella. I never liked the looks of the CTS, think it was the vertical front lights, but's it's really grown on me in last couple of years. Wheels really European-ise it..

I will get some pics up of the interior. Lots of leather. Like all American vehicles well speced as always. Drive is very refined. Almost jaguar like.

For me it can be difficult at times being LHD. I do daily drive mine. The ride can be a bit jarring on some roads. Very nimble for it size.

I had already seen that. Bit to much for what i wanted to pay when i could have bought a 300c SRT for considerably less. Its that money due to the rarity factor in the uk.

I'm going to ask a silly question here.

How's that a UK-Spec car?

It's UK registered but it's left hand drive so I would say it's a UK registered import rather than UK spec or am I missing something?

It's still nice though

Seems to be EU spec in having rear fog lights, side repeaters and an EU satnav (US cars use OnStar, I think it's called). The CTS-V is sold through Bauer Millett in Manchester who I believe have the official franchise. I think the rest of the Cadillac dealers died out.
