I ran one (in the US) for 3 years and enjoyed every one of the 50k+ miles.

Pro's - a mountain of torque from a simple DIY maintenance motor. Mine ran consistent 11 sec quarters with a few light mods (Predator flash, aftermarket exhaust and stronger half-shafts). Very fast for a 4000lb 4 door saloon. Great transmission, comfy ride - awesome brakes.

Con's - nasty plastics inside and something of an image problem. Voracious appetite for premium fuel (16 US MPG) and demolished expensive rear tires. I needed to replace a front strut that cost more than $1000 and the transmission control module failed (covered by warranty, but would have been another $600).

Very stout, very fast and unburstable mechanically, as long as you maintain it properly. Don't be tempted to cheap-out on regular fuel or LPG, this motor needs UCL to avoid very expensive piston/valve seat damage.

Highly recommended if you can stomach the running costs.

I want to know more about the SRT, compared to the Jag S-Type R for instance....The 300 hasn't really been on my radar til I saw some You Tube videos. Engine seems pretty epic!

the 300C is a good car but when teamed with the 6.1 in SRT8 form it is a monster!! Love how it looks like a everyday 300C but you can surprise almost all cars on the road. A very versatile car which when combined with LPG is affordable to run while still giving lots of smiles. Never had a single problem apart from the usual wear and tear items and maybe go through a few more rear tyres than normal wink

drove my mates from Belfast to Birmingham yesterday, via the Scot ferry, about 2 hours of A/B roads, cruise set to 70 on the motorway with a few dashes in between, with the usual delays and crawling congestion around Knutsford

lovely well sorted vehicle, it sounds mean with after market Borla cat back fitted
Weather was nasty, so all the electrical bits turned on and averaged 20mpg, soon to be in the classifieds
