Grand Cherokee alarm problem

Hi All,

My 2003 CRD has recently had a new battery fitted. Since then (although this may be a red herring) I'm having issues arming/dis-arming the alarm. It fails to respond to either fob, both of which have new batteries, but will then suddenly work ok for a couple of days.

I just end up standing outside the card pressing the fob buttons for several minutes until it decides to activate.

Any ideas?
