I'd like to install a reverse camera on my Ford F150 truck, but because of the SVA conversion the reverse light has been relocated beneath the rear bumper. If I wish to install a camera, is this going to present a problem? Has anyone ever done it?

Thanks for any help/advice.

Why would it cause a problem?

I intended following the online instruction for a Yada wireless, but now the rear light removal no longer applies. Where would I cut into the underneath reverse light to get the transmitter working?

I have one on my f150

I changed out the original CD player and fitted a TV touch screen with camera and ran cable to rear

I've wired into reverse light switch so when I engage r it switches from sat nav to rev camera

May I ask who did the work for you? What year is your F150? The make of TV touch screen?

From the reversing light that's now fitted under the bumper.

My f150 is a 2000 lariat 4x4

The TV unit is a xtrons I bought of eBay and fitted myself

When took the sterio out had
To cut a section out at rear so can sit flush in and need to
Finish with the fibre glass tidy up the dash surround to blend in

I'll try send some pics by email if can

I have one fitted to my F150. But it seems to have a mind of its own. It comes on sometimes when you engage reverse. But the majority of times it doesn't

I fitted one to my 1938 hot rod, as you couldn't see anything out the back and it had no reversing lights.

Mine was easy to fit, was wide angle so you could see if anything was behind you but getting a perspective of how far away was really difficult. It had night vision, but gave a black and white type image. It was a good addition, but isn't a substitute for mirrors and lights.

I have a prowler, with my reversing lights used as indicators. It had an awful huge fog light, I found small LED reversing and fog lights that matched so fitted reverse on the left and fog on the right. They look fine now.
