Thinking about purchasing one of these, there is a choice to drive either:
tribute GT500 Mustang,
Dukes of Hazzard experience, where you’ll drive the General Lee Classic V8 Dodge,
or classic Mustang at either Rockingham, Goodwood or Brands Hatch.

Anyone done it, can you recommend it or something similar?

Cheers

I'm biased as I've known Ant for nearly 30 years, but everyone who's been on one of his days seems to have had a good time.

Yep, I did it.

I think I did their first-ever public run at Brands Hatch, oh nearly two years ago now. Crumbs.

I don't think they do quite the same experience now - I drove three cars in one day. Checking their website I drove 'Sprint', 'Tonto' and 'Hercules'.

Was terrific fun, and the sound of V8s all day is fantastic. The two automatic-transmission cars felt a bit lost on the circuit, although it was interesting to drive them. Hercules was fabulous though. Stamping that heavy clutch to the bulkhead then grabbing that two-foot chome Hurst shifter to change gear, followed by more V8 roar felt brilliant.

Only trouble is, I've hankered after a crude American V8 ever since...

My advice would to be first in the queue at the circuit. These are old cars, and they might be quite fragile. Sprint's transmission seized in top during my run, which at least meant I didn't have to second-guess the kickdown on the way out of corners!
