UK modern Challengers photo-opp at Brooklands!
Short notice I know, but Brooklands Museum have very kindly offered a designated area for modern Challengers at their American Car event on Sunday 9th August.
Rather than being mixed in the general 'Other American Models' parking, we have been offered a prime spot providing a fine photo backdrop, between the Pratts / Esso pagoda and the Shop & Ticket Office / entrance.
This will be a great opportunity to get as many UK modern Challengers, including the recently arrived Hellcats, together for a community meet and photograph.

STANDARD MUSEUM ADMISSION PRICES (per Person)
Adult £11.00
Senior Citizen/Student £10.00
Children (5-16) £6.00
Children under 5 FREE
Family ticket £30.00
(2 adults & up to 3 children)
All prices include free parking and a Trail Guide.
The Museum is a NO DOGS SITE - assistance dogs only, are admitted on site.

The designated Challenger zone is AREA "D".
For those who know Brooklands, at the bottom of the hill, drive towards the Campbell and ERA sheds but turn left before the Campbell shed and carry on past the modern Mustangs to Area "D" at the far end (Pratts / Esso Pagoda)
So far we have heard from 7 modern Challenger owners intending to come plus a couple of classic Challengers too.

9 Challengers in all at the UK informal meet-up of the UK Challenger community, at the historic Brooklands site earlier today, 2 classics, 7 moderns V8s, 3 of which were Hellcats.

but I hear the green ones are the fastest Great to meet you guys and girls today. What a brilliant day. As for Sublime being the fastest. Your still running in and I've 2400 miles on the clock. Plus A8 not M6 
We drove up to the NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals in Biggleswade from Brooklands. Met up with Brian my good friend and mechanic. What a perfect end to the day.

The Ace was actually really really good. I was not sure what to expect in terms of cars that would be there. Met Mark with his beautiful red Viper that I spotted on the way to Brooklands. The Hellcat was very well received. Great chatting with guys of all age groups. One young chap has owns a BMW E30 that he has turbo charged and has had a lot of run ins with the police over noise including a £100 fine. He asked how loud the Cat was. I fired it up and he said that is not too loud. Then I blipped the throttle and his jaw dropped. How come the police don't stop you. I said just luck I guess. I wanted to take some pictures of the cars that were there. But you end up engaged in conversations and then you forget. Got told off by the missus just a little bit for turning off the traction control and being a little bit too exuberant when we left. But hey that is what these cars are for. Not a burn out, just a few twirls of the wheel required to gather it all up. I keep forgetting I'm not 18 anymore and driving a 3 litre Capri
