Talking with a friend she mentioned an American car that she had always wanted to know what it was. Not being well up on American cars I said that the people on PH could probably help. The picture is about 20 years old which is all I know. over to you.

'55 if I'm not mistaken, lovely thing.

The sweetheart of the 50s, somewhat overshadowed by the impending corvette but a delight to see one in the flesh nonetheless.

It's a 1957 Thunderbird. The 1955 had smaller "fins" on the rear of the car and the 1956 models had Continental Kits for the spare tire.

There are many survivors and spares are generally available.

....and very reasonable compared to other cars of that period . Can be prone to tin worm but pretty bulletproof generally .
