Guys should we all arrange to collect on the same day and have a PH mini meet of the GC owners club ? biggrin
Seriously - don't do anything like that. It's not a big place and you've already seen how disorganised they are.
Party pooper !! we could meet at a local pub ?

Newbie and computer illiterate, can not figure out how to post into the table above, but i got a £199 deal for a red car, 5k miles. Awaiting docs like everyone else, but had a call confirming the car, color and price, then somewhat confusingly an email confirming the car, but saying they are awaiting the cars/information from Jeep to confirm colors.

Have been following the lease thread for a while, and this was perfect for me. Thank you to whoever posted it.

Hi,

I am interested in this (was directed from the big thread) but I can't make head or tail of what is happening here.
Can someone just give a quick run-down please

Thanks

A Jeep dealer called Mangoletsi got hold of some stock of Grand Cherokees and offered them on cheap 2 year lease deals. Lots of people contacted them, not many heard back or are still waiting on 'details'.

The offer was released last Friday at £199 however these cars were standard Grand Cherokees and these sold out pretty much immediately. They released another offer at £249 per month these cars included a safety pack, worth an extra worth £2400. These also sold out however they said they "may be getting more", however it will be a first come first served basis.

The bulk of deals were contract around 24 month personal contract hire at £249 per month based on 5000 miles and the deposit is 3 months’ worth of deposits so roughly £747.

I think you are the first person who confirmed they ordered the mythical £199 deal! How soon did you get in?

They will take trade-ins but they know they don't need to do a deal as you have signed up. With them being Alfa dealers may help as they may then sell it on their forecourt.
Thanks! Just called them and awaiting a call back from their buy-back guy tomorrow. Alex has his voice back thankfully!

I'd like a column in the table that says when people first contacted Mangoletsi! I'm a bit miffed that I rang first thing Monday, they (Alex) called me back but then nothing. I have nudged them a couple of times too.

Maybe it's for the best - I've had GC's in the US a few times and it's a great holiday car but probably not ideal for hacking up and down the M6/M40 and I very much doubt my missus would drive it.

Monday morning. They had a "lady refused on finance" car left over/returned. Not sure how that happened, as i did not think anyone had actually applied for finance as yet, unless me giving my address, owner/renter/length of living there and the name and address of my employer is, in fact, the finance check.

Was told 80 cars in total, all the sales people met their targets for the month in one weekend, registration had to be by end of June (all new cars).

Strange,
Checking my phone logs I ordered around 1pm on Sunday. By then they told me they had sold out of the £199 deals and had sold around 40 cars in total.

And so it starts, got my cancellation email frown

It is with sincere regret that we write to inform you that we will not be able to supply you with the Jeep Grand Cherokee in which you have expressed an interest.

We secured special terms on a number of vehicles, which we believed would be enough to satisfy demand, but in the event we were overwhelmed with enquiries.

We had hoped to be able to extend these terms on additional vehicles but this has turned out not to be the case.

If you paid your deposit by credit or debit card, we will put it back on your card by the end of the day on Friday 17th June. If you paid it in another way we will make arrangements separately.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you have been caused. Rest assured that when other special opportunities arise, customers such as yourself will be exclusively offered the first option. If we can be of any service to you in the meantime, we promise to give you the best terms possible on whichever vehicle is of interest.
