I will definitely get some more pics and a mini review in the next week or so, just a bit busy at the moment.

Loving it so far though, no real downsides yet. The car is approaching 500 miles on the clock and is already averaging over 32mpg, which should give us 650 miles on a full tank cool - not bad for a brick on wheels laugh
I guess if they delivered it you didn't get to discuss it, but did you ever establish what the story is about why they offered these cars at such a bonkers price?

Nope, not sure the guys at Mangoletsi would know anyway. I'm guessing they've been sat around for a few months as mine was built in 2015, so maybe clearing old stock ready for the updated GC that was announced a couple of weeks ago?

I'm not bothered what the story is tbh as everything seems spot-on with it. I can already see a problem in two years time though - how do I replace it like-for-like at that price laugh

It's not an EU5 car without Ad Blue, is it? I forget the details now, but cars in stock were given an exemption from the 1st Sept 15 EU6 date.

Whatever the reason, it's just odd they pitched the price far lower than it surely needed to be.

No, it needs Ad Blue, you can't miss it when you open the fuel filler cap. I'm just glad it worked out! I don't know who got the other 19 but they're very lucky! Even the Mrs loves it now, after a couple of trips to work in it thumbup

32mpg is pretty good when you consider my new Alltrack is doing 35mpg....

It is, but both of our commutes are quite stress-free, although the Golf R could barely break 30 mpg for the 2 years I had it!

Are you doing lots of short journeys? I'm up in the high 40s, and don't use Eco mode either.

Sorry if this is egg-sucking stuff but diesel auto MPG is very sensitive to how they're driven. We live in a semi-rural area and if I drive Mrs S's Tiguan I have no problem getting 45MPG on the display - if I'm minded to. In the same use she gets 35.

Yep, I have an 8 mile each way commute. Don't do much else at the moment - an average speed of 20mph, never going to help. My last car an E92 BMW 325i manual coupe did 20mpg on the same journey, so I am still quids in, though I was hoping for 40mpg.

Was sat outside a Costa Coffee at a services during the week and a white GC cruised into the car park and it did look well in the blazing sunshine - reminded me of being in Florida!

Got a whole load of finance offers from Jeep a couple of weeks ago - even with discounts and deposit contributions etc you'd have to be slightly unhinged to take one at normal prices.

Responded to Mangoletsi's text today and sure enough someone called me - I have to say I've never had attention like this in 30 years of buying cars. He seemed a bit deflated when I asked if they were running the £199/mth offer again! He did say they were MY2015 cars that Jeep "had" to get rid of, so I wonder if there was some emissions compliance issue there.

They're now offering MY 2016 cars, which in itself seems odd - I thought they'd be into 2017 cars by this time of the year.

When I started work for FIAT UK we'd quite often have 'new' vans in stock that had it's birthday at the import centre. They changed things to have a big push to get stock gone at 180 days old. So old stock JEEP's don't surprise me!

I just don't get, from a business POV, why they leased them out so cheap - why leave such a chunk of money on the table?

They came back to me today with a 6+23 deal at £459/mth (10K/yr inc VAT - so the 10K probably adds £50/mth) and that's on stock MY2016 cars - in the US MY2017 was announced in March!

The cars will be on a funding programme before they go fully paid after a certain amount of time once they land in the UK. If they've not gone by that point, then they need to get shot of them pronto. Don't forget that the 'retail' deals will make them quite a lot of money. So the tiny number they kicked out the door at those prices are a drop in the ocean for them money wise. And if they didn't meet upcoming emissions standards they'd have to be registered or scrapped. That would have cost them a damn sight more!

I did wonder if that was the issue, although apparently they were EU6, maybe there was some other compliance thing they didn't meet.

That £459 I was offered is still £150/mth less than normal. The £199 price (and at just 3+) would have been better though!

Never mind - perhaps there's a GLC with my name on it. smile

Only just seen this thread and that lease deal sounded fantastic value. Can I ask what you guys think of the 75th anniversary GC? I've been offered one on PCP with a price of £40,649, so a good 12.5% off list. Any thoughts on if this is a good deal in the grand scheme of things? It will be a long term buy should I like the test drive I have booked.

You need to give more information. What is the GFV? What are the payments and interest rate? How many miles per year? How long is the term? 12.5% isn't earth shattering, have you tried CarWow or Drive the Deal?
