Hi there I was just wondering if anyone has/had a Buick grand national preferably one that was done in 1987, At the moment I am stuck in the whole euro scene but I have always loved Muscle cars and this is one that I am looking at. I think it is amazing but I wanted to ask what other peoples views are, and where better to than here? I just want some general info like what it is like to drive, how reliable it is, running costs etc.

Much sort after in the US and go for big money esp the GN-X version. Same V6 Turbo was used in the Gen III Trans-Am Pace Car.

I think they look great, but a cheaper V8 alternative would be a 86/87'ish Chevy Monte Carlo, same sort of shape (good old GM badge engineering).

The Buick GNs are indeed collector's cars now and a lot of money to buy. They are very fast though. However, if you're into muscle cars, look into things like Oldsmobile 422s and the like. If you want someting more modern that drives like a modern car then you're looking at stuff like the 90's Impala SS and later Mercury Marauder, neither of which are anything like as fast. Other than that, it's the standard Camaro and Mustang stuff and bang for the buck is going to be a 1998-on 4th gen Camaro Z28 or SS with the LS1 or something like a C4/C5 Corvette.
