Hi all,

Just need some advise really. My dad brought his 2002 (i think)Pontiac Firebird 5.7 back here in 2006 and last year he lost the keys. Since then it's just been gathering dust. The car is locked and alarmed and he doens't know what to do.

Does anyone know where he can source a new key and fob to actually disarm the car and start driving it? OR if that's not possible what should he do?

Cheers

I would imagine the battery would be flat by now if its not hooked up to a conditioner - in which case you would just need someone to open it up - somewhere if you have the original paperwork I would have thought the key codes will be included - you would then need to order keys/fobs etc and arrange for them to be programmed to the car

You can disable the alarm as long as you have power to the ECU. Just reflash it with VATS disabled.
But you will still need the keys. These can be created with the VIN and proof of ownership to a US firm, perhaps like sdparts.com who are a GM Main dealer. If you have the keys then again you just set VATS to relearn and all is well.
