Nope, again assuming facts not in evidence.
My disappointment withstanding, you personally don't register on my radar, and never have done – although I did suggest a fair while ago that someone consider buying one of your watches on TZ……but that was long before I realised the "similarities" with the Romvlvs dial and bezel design, however you claim to have arrived at them.
I've moved on from that, but it seems to suggest I struck a chord, as you saw fit to play that card.
In the interests of forum harmony, let it lie – I did and continue to do so.

I notice you at least removed the earlier post about having checked my profile and the car I drive – although my name is definitely not Alan nor even Partridge.
But then such comments would be seen for what they are, 'ad hominem' – something most of us don't resort to when having a disagreement, preferring to stick with the subject matter instead of switching focus onto the writer.

I had the same problem a few years ago a nd my watch was returned and repaired free of charge. They even sent me back a bag of knackered components as an added extra.

Have to admit I don't wear any of my decent watches anywhere near water. I have a donkeys years old Raymond Weil Tango which suffices for swimming.

Sorry for hijacking an existing thread, figured as the OP posted 3 years ago that he's probably resolved his issue by now!

Have sent mine back to Tag for yet another repair, and kicked off to the UK HQ about the fact that a) I had to do this in the first place on a "prestige" watch and b) how I'm going to have had at least 2 months, probably more like 3, where I didn't even possess my watch while my warranty was still ticking down.

I didn't bother doing the silica gel thing mainly because of it being in warranty and also the fact that any fix for its present condition would only fix the immediate problem, not the underlying problem, which would just come back again the next time I was outside in the rain.

Hope you get satisfaction from Tag Heuer, and the watch's issue resolved this time.
I doubt they'll extend your warranty, but may offer a free service or new strap as goodwill – if not lesser offerings.
If your intention is to get rid once sorted, then any offer of service should be requested in writing, and ascertained that it they'll honour it if you should sell the watch in the future.
Probably won't add much value, but it may make yours an easier sell.

I wear my Tag Carrera Chrono in the water and its fine. I wouldn't operate the pushers of course but it seems to have survived fine. I think showering and getting caught in the rain and getting steamed up is a bit pants and must be an obvious servicing flaw / mistake.

I was more amazed that as mine has brushed and polished finish they can't refurb it. Useless. I like it as it was the one I always promised myself, and don't care what people think of the brand too much but I wouldn't buy another. I've moved onto Tudor (Heritage Chrono.. its great) now, and other more niche stuff is on my next to buy list.

How old is the watch?
When was it last, if since leaving the factory, it was pressure tested?
If a good few years is the answer to either or both, then for the sake of £30, you could get it checked and if it passes, then you're grand.

Very odd, I have worn my Carrera and Oris in the lake and or rain/wet, and have never had an issue with either.
