Less than ten minutes after postie has walked up the garden path, here it is on the web. An ebay cheapy.

Had this on my 300 Chrono for a while, it's on blue leather at the moment.

May try this NATO on my Sub?

Lovely watch, but isn't the strap the wrong way round?

Thanks, and yes it is indeed. Good spot!

I like my watches very loose on my wrist, and in the coneventional position the buckle catches quite uncomfortably on my Ulna and Triquetrum bones (I just looked those names up on the net). Turn it round, problem solved - do need a bit of practice doing the buckle cack-handed though.

so which strap would you choose for this watch?

currently it's got an olive green Nato on it which doesn't really suit it. It's about as cheap a watch as you could have, but its got sentimental value, so I keep it as my 'dirty' watch smile
Black... white... black with white stripe(s)... white with black stripe(s)!
there you aresmile

Not bad - will work better once the white is a bit grubby to match the dial.

exactly, and as it's my rough watch, that shouldn't be long!

smile Best bit about Natos is when they get too grubby, just throw them in a tied sock into the wash.

Hmmm, not sure I'm seeing the appeal to be honest.

New watch arrived today on a cheap NATO strap, but it seems to be top heavy which causes the watch to move around and slide round my wrist a bit. And the next hole on the strap is too tight.

Maybe I'm just used to wearing watches with bracelets, but I'm glad I ordered a mesh strap as well, which I'll be fitting as soon as I get the chance.

much easier just to twist the strap around, put the pins in and twist it around again.

Having had them issued for years that method is how soldiers do it, anything involving removing the pins is just too complex for grunts..... hehe

Removing the pins would risk damaging the lugs each time. Plus it takes longer to change them. Plus Natos were designed for watches with fixed pins.

A couple of different things for me; I normally take off the back strap - the watch head doesn't move/slip too much on my wrists and secondly when folding back the 'tail', I pass it over the first keeper and tuck it into the second rather than going under both keepers, just a bit easier I find.

I'll try hat andy. I have a black NATO with PVD ring that I just cant and sealed using an electric cooker glass. Looks as good as new. Never realised your where supposed to tuck the tails in.

cheers
