Does anyone recommend a decent thick 18mm leather NATO for a project I have on the go ? I don't need it to loop back at the tail, so I can trim it.

Also, what happened to John Baz ? He used to post a lot on here, he had the largest collection I'd ever seen.
A word of warning - (not about John Baz, no idea, don't have any other contact with him) if you get a thick leather Nato it will look odd as it won't bend nicely - the watch will sit too far from the wrist if you use the part of the strap that goes behind the watch plus unless you wear it very tight, it will be too rigid to bend nicely. I would experiment with a thin one - there's one for sale on TWF. http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic...

I get what you mean, and being a stick insect, you raise a good point.

I have a leather NATO already, it just seems too thin.

Back to the drawing board.

Even worse if your wrists are thin!

Maybe start a new thread wrt your project and get suggestions.

This one.

The seller cocked up the order for the watch, there's a fresh one on the way from Mother Russia now instead.

I have a flat silicone coming also if the leather doesn't work.

Almost as big as his collection of air rifles and I've no doubt lots of other stuff too - maybe he can't reach the laptop any more... smile

Thanks. You're probably right but I like it. For the moment. It's had 4 straps on it already today. nuts

My ability to take photos sucks - it has a silver dial with a shimmery effect rather than a matt cream dial.

Is this yours ?

Can I ask if you know it's history, where it's been etc.. ?

That pretty much sums up my Moneynolimitonewatchonly collection, a fine choice.

This is my knocker for the weekend :
