Wearing this today to keep SWMBO happy as she bought it for me many years ago and was most upset when I bought the Monza. Hopefully my Orange Monster may arrive tomorrow and then I will be getting some serious tongue pie.

Is that a porcelain or enamel dial?

To be honest I have no idea, I don't think it was ever mentioned when we bought it, I chose it because of it's simplicity. Is there a way of telling?

I just had the battery changed and when the weather was warmer it was getting some condensation under the glass so I might have to send it to Raymond Weil and have it resealed.

The 250 posts thing is a huge mistake IMHO. Thing is I'm getting interested in watches but simply don't know enough, or have enough to TALK about them to be able to generate 250 posts worth of content! It's just a handy coincidence on Pistonheads that I can talk about cars and several other areas of interest, including Watches.

Ho hum. Hopefully they'll change their policy soon.

Yes with there restrictive policies they could end up being the same group of dinosaurs swapping watches about between each other they already owned. I'm all for security and knowing who your dealing with, but just do face to face for a while until you get feedback.

I would love a more trade/flip type page in classifieds or a thread even which then gives you some reassurance on the OP.

Nice. I do like a yellow Dial, and love the watch being an Aerospace owner smile

Well until recently when I was unaware of this forum and its fellow life destroyer TZ-UK I had a simple Seiko chrono, a swatch, a RAF chrono and a Rolex Air King (21st from DaD)

Now, firstly it was this

then I was forced into this

and now they are best friends

Thanks Santa

Will get a better pic, but needless to say, so happy with it, have 3 more Parnis incoming! Value for money there can't be a better watch!

Sorry for the crappy phone pictures...

This yesterday:

Was given to me a couple of weeks ago, for my efforts in producing our first child (a baby girl, born Dec 1st!)

For 20-25 minutes worth of work*, it's worth it. I'll have to go at it longer next time!

  • Time quoted is massively exaggerated.

This today:

Bought it in the summer last year after seeing a picture of it posted up on this forum. Very happy with it.
