Can one of you watch gurus give me some idea what a watch of mine is worth please? I am having a clear out of some things I never use and it is one of a few watches I thought I may as well get shot of as I rarely/never wear them.

• Chaumet Class One Chronograph
• Certified to 100 meters as a divers watch
• Bought it in 2001, have not worn it all that much but there are a few small marks on it

Is it worth anything or am I best leaving it in a draw? I have put it up on eBay but given there are no others on there, or in the completed listings I am sort of thinking I should remove it. I have a couple of others I am going to sell too but being more popular brands (Longines, Bulgari) I can work them out.

There looks to be a couple similar to yours on Chrono24.com ... Not exact, but very similar!

Dealer price seems to be around £1400-1800. I've never heard of the brand before, so I don't know whether these are in demand ... ? See what others here think smile

for the prices quote above a dealer will have given it a cursory service and can offer a warranty, given its age, it would need a service to sell privately (or be priced to allow for one), so find out what that might cost and see if it's worth doing if you are interested in a sale. your biggest problem would the themnumber of mainstream manufacturers that you could buy watches from in that price bracket, where residuals are solid and resale is easy. Even at s grand post-service ai think you'd struggle against the sellers of Longines, Oris, high-end Hamiltons and enough Omegas and Tags. from £1400 upwards your comeptition includes some Rolex models...

Thank you both. smile I have an idea on resale value now. May keep it - see what it fetches. Seems to be doing okay on eBay!

Watch was serviced last year and battery replaced.
