They look OK but the quartz movements are nothing special.

That dial, in particular looks a mess. What he said ... The bezel numerals look as though they've been drawn on with a fine tip pen! There are better watches for the price, but whether they float your boat is another matter

P7ULG said: Ikemi said: There are better watches for the price, but whether they float your boat is another matter Such as? Going on RRP, the watch in your OP is £139.99 ... So for that, I'd be looking at Seiko or Citizen, both of which produce some quality chronograph watches at that price range. Also, £140 will get you a model that features either titanium in it's construction or the Eco-Drive sunlight powered quartz movement Alternatively, you could look at Parnis for a £50-70, which would get you an automatic watch ... Lots of different models available too! Most sellers of Parnis operate through eBay, so have a look there. Also, the 'What Watch For £50' thread on here has lots of Parnis & Tao International watches pictured, with lots of owners talking of their experiences too. Then again, spend another £50 and you could get yourself a rather awesome Traser: http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/collections/traser-h3...It's up to you though ... Just stating my opinion on the Ballistic watch you mentioned

You can pick one of the ballistics up on Ebay for £62 so that might put them more into prospective. It was the polycarbonate "glass" and the supposed toughness which made me think they maybe an option
Traser is very nice but more than I would want to pay

Presumably, you are interested in the toughness properties rather than a chronograph watch. If so, they will handle the assault your wrist can. I take my Ballistic Sabre climbing and have thrown it at a climbing wall. Anyone who claims to own a tool watch with a mechanical movement, please post a video of you doing that for our amusement. Ta.

I'd have a look at the Parnis Marina Militare with a Sea-Gull 3600 (Asian 6497 swan neck automatic) movement. It won't be as robust as the Ballistic, but it looks the part for £60-70! http://manbushijie.com/productshow-650-3.htmlAn extra $25 upgrades the watch to include sapphire glass
