Following on from the Audi-Omega thread.

Skoda - Sekonda
Smart - Swatch
Vauxhall - Timex
Toyota - Casio
Lotus/Porsche - Tag
Ferrari - Patek Philippe
Bugatti/Zonda - Richard Mille
Mercedes - Rolex
Volvo - Accurist
Alfa Romeo - Armani
Maserati - T W Steel!
Honda - Seiko
Mclaren - has to be Hamilton.

BMW confuses me. Apparently BMW owners top the list for their preference for a bit on the side, so maybe something sacrificial that can be left on the bedside table.

I'm sure there must have been a more considered listing in the past as this is Pistonheads.

Personally as a Toyota and Porsche owner, I have a Casio Edifice, Omega tank and a Cyma military (my first car was a military Austin Champ but that is a touch obscure!)

Interesting topic, but I can't disagree with you more about ferrari-Patek.

I would have said Ferrari-AP

I'd have personally put TW Steel with Hummer or something equally huge and ostentatious!

Maser would be more Ball for me - bright and shiny, even at night!

And FWIW, I have an Omega and a Golf... so I guess Audi isn't too far off!

AMOC magazine are sponsored by Chopard, whether that means anything I don't know, but I have just bought one on the back of it as it sparked my imagination.

My Vit is pretty basic, so I'll suggest a sundial.

I'm confused by this. I own a Mercedes and a classic metro (yes, there is such an animal!) and my watches range from Omega and Breitling to Seiko and Citizen by way of Christopher Ward, Tudor and Longines...

However, I want a Rolex.

So what does this say about me?

British made with a foreign power plant?

As a BMW driver I probably wear an Oris more often than not. Or a Seiko. Or a citizen. Or an Omega hehe

I'll say Oris for BMW.

Did Christoper Ward use the Lexus dials for inspiration?
I would recommend an Allegro Vanden Plas for an aspiring Rolex owner, rather than a 'classic' Metro!
Proper Land Rover drivers need a Suunto when the going gets bad.

Even more confused on the BMW front. I guess it depends what's at hand on the bedside table!
1 series could be a Casio and 7 series Longine?

I was told at my local Porsche dealership some years ago, that the watch and shoes showed whether the prospective customer was a viable prospect. He was either very honest or commenting on my footwear! Like watches, Imelda Marcos does shoes.

There really must be a connection. My list is exploratory.

I'll add:

Skoda - CW (Robust, reliable and not bank-breakingly expensive; An all round good choice)
Porsche - Rolex (They're everywhere! The defacto sports car/sports watch choice)
Mercedes - Omega (Well built, common, lots of heritage)
Alfa Romeo - Glycine (Lots of character, but sometimes forgotten!)
Maserati - JLC (Well ... smile)
