On another note - I really wish Seiko would make an automatic day date chronograph. All the huge variety of watches they make and they simply don't make one! I know there are the vintage 70's ones, but I want a new one.
Why don't you try a vintage one? They are incredibly reliable. In fact I've got my Pogue on right now. smile

I've an order running for the mystical Amazon PADI at £240; suspect that'll never actually arrive (I've not been charged for it) so that Creation one looks a decent alternative - my last delivery from them came through very quickly.
Solar powered PADI on offer for £194...

Love the look of that Alpinist. As someone who destroys a leather strap every six months, can it take the steel bracelet?

If you're talking about the green-faced SARB017 further up the page, there is an OEM metal bracelet available but it's pricey, has to come from Japan and I don't know whether it's good enough quality to be worth the money. Link here: http://www.seiyajapan.com/collections/bracelets/pr...

Samurai 'blue lagoon' special edition. Bit of a looker isn't it. Bit of a waiting list I believe, so lucky to find one unless you've pre-ordered with someone like Jura.

It looks great, too big for my wrist though.

That looks lovely. I have a '74 yellow Pogue, but would quite fancy getting an early one to keep the Silvers company.

There's plenty on ebay, but you'll get stiffed for import duties.

I got this out of the drawer this morning. One rather battered Monster, black bezel markings chipped, one chip in the Hardlex, but still keeping almost perfect time. It's worth sod all but it is so tough and such amazing value for money. The obvious choice for any activity and especially on the beach.
