Forgot to post yesterday - the date was right then, honest.

If so I have one as well and love it!

Just arrived today! I'm over the moon with it biggrin

Details please.
It's an SPB381, 'Marine Green' GMT. I have just bought it from eBay as a 35th birthday present to myself.

It seems beautifully made and I am hoping to wear it regularly in my rotation of 3 main watches, although it seems so lovely I will probably restrict it to my less messy days at work (mechanic)

Having just had my 20 year old Seamaster serviced and polished up it suddenly felt a bit too good to use day in day out (perhaps an argument for another thread!) and I fancied a Seiko for this job. Went for this one from their automatic 5 Sports Field series. Really nice dark blue face and brass coloured details with a decent quality leather strap. I’m really happy with it.

I keep looking at these but wonder how the big wavy strap looks whilst being worn? I notice there are always a few for sale on eBay which are very tempting

It is big and bulky. The strap is quite comfortable to wear but yeah, it can look a bit cumbersome.

After much wanting and much waiting I bought this last week. Have to say it's even more beautiful in person, I love the way the dial changes from silver to blue in the light. The only thing that's slightly annoying is the strap does up the other way which is odd. Never noticed that before.

Lovely..!

I have the previous version (SARB065). In fact I’ve been wearing it for the last few weeks.

The strap is a “deployant” (aka “deployment” thanks to an internet awash with auto-correct!) - it’s meant to be the reverse from a regular strap and gives a lovely clean look.

Enjoy!

Can't you just change it around if you think it's "upside down"?

I have a light-blue dial version of that, also lovely. I’ve tried a variety of straps, a Milanese looks particularly good on it.
Took your advice and got a Milanese for it. Looks even better now!

That dial looks incredible.

Does there exist a better example of the sunburst dial?

Disagree on the Milanese bracelet though, but that's just me. I think leather works best on those.

I guess I could but it would make it slightly more awkward to do up I think. Second day wearing it and I'm used to it now tbh, it was just a weird feeling with it catching inside my cuff when moving my wrist the other way was all. Those little things you get used to after years and years!
