PJS, just to let you know I should soon be the proud owner of a lovely sbp001! Cheers for taking the time to post that link, I searched for ages but didn't find it!
Photos coming soon!
Excellent! Glad it seems to have turned out to be a bona fide seller.

Just pushed the button on my new "holiday watch" - an SKX009 diver. Just need to replace the rubber strap with a suitable NATO. Suggestions?
looks good on a bond zulu with black hardware.

Shockingly bad I-Pad photo, but watch arrived Monday, strap yesterday! Loving it. Already my GMT is feeling sad and left out!

Note to self: learn how to post photographs properly......sorry chaps!

Some really nice watches on here, some real food for thought!

That is really nice, I have a twin Quartz version, Seiko Grand Quartz.

Love the clean lines and uncluttered look. Looks a very classy watch for (presumably) not too much money.

Again, very smart looking piece. Doesn't look cheap and seems to have an 'air' of quality.

Or is just me?

I have to admit to favouring watches at this level because it enables me to have far more in the collection than if I bought the Omega or Tag I still covet!

Has anyone bought a Seiko from any of the HK sellers on ebay? Some good deals but I'm unsure if a) they are the real deal or b) they even post to the UK. They don't list any EU countries in the postage list, is there some tax/customs reason for this?

Love it! I put the same strap on my 009 & haven't had it off my wrist since.

I haven't used anyone HK based myself however purchasing anything from outside the EU should attract 20% VAT when entering the country, not sure why that would stop anyone from selling to the EU though. Try creationwatches.com (Singapore based) for Seikos, don't count on it happening everytime but you might get lucky with the vodka and tonic whistle

They might describe the contents of the packaging as a measuring device...

I'm quite keen on getting one - what are they like to live with as they are on the large side?

It’s a big watch of that there’s no denying. I have large hands and wrists and the standard size strap (ceramic and titanium) is just big enough and is comfortable.
As expected the watch is relatively light for its size. It is however difficult to wear with cuff linked shirts due to the height of the watch.

Clarity of the glass is exceptional, the watch face appears to have greater depth than its dimensions would allow and the hour markers appear to be floating above the face. Night time lux is good from the hour markers but poor from the hands due to the cut out design. The new versions have solid hands which will be an improvement.

I have always worn Seiko's for their reliability and accuracy, as a former master mariner I understand the importance of accurate timepieces. The great thing about this watch is the GPS updating, you have total confidence in the accuracy. I fly a lot and while the automatic time zone changes are useful it’s a shame there was no way to incorporate regional DST into the software.

Very happy with it and it gets occasional complementary comments.

I've got the same watch. I keep it on black leather with white stitching as it matches well with the dial. A nice pick up and go watch that goes well with a suit, jeans or anything.

Love pandas.
