Good grief, that green NATO doesn't work! (MO)
Sorry, I like it... I've tried it on a few black face watches I have and I like them all.... GMT2C, SMP and a couple of Kemmner's to name a few... I'll say it looks better in the flesh..

Oh yes - where did you get that NATO from? It's perfect.

My SNZH53 is back on the Seiko bracelet again. The Brady sailcloth-style strap which I got from California doesn't look or feel nearly as nice as I'd hoped, and is very prone to scuffs. The quick-release springbars on it are great, mind you.

I also have a chunky leather strap for it, suits it well.

Fossil do quick release straps too, they're not bad.

Is that a Hirsch Liberty? Got one of those on my solar pilot, SSC013, but that's 20mm so I can't use it on the 22mm SNZH.

Cheers for the Gnomon recommendation; sadly out of stock in 22mm. I shall keep an eye on the site.

No, I didn't fancy £30 odd on one so I got something similar that was cheaper

Hi
Only a few, but an interesting story behind two of them.

My beloved and much treasured SKX007 along with its big brother, an SSC015P1.

The SKX was given to me by my girlfriend (now wife) and is a much treasured gift. Sadly though, it fell foul of the kitchen floor and was relegated to the drawer for a while, as I thought replacement was the only option after being quoted more than the price of a new one for a service. However, emotion soon got the better of me, so I contacted Board Member Variomatic (Joe) who then repaired and serviced the watch within a week and returned it to me. It came back with a new strap, a new lease of life and Joe couldn't have been more helpful. Absolutely top rate service from a really nice bloke.

Out of the next 4, with the exception of the "dress" watch, all Car boot sale finds. The World time is sorry looking with a broken strap (£1). the Sports solar again has some serious damage to the outer plastic, but does work for 30 seconds when charged under an artificial light for 10 hours, (£2) and the last one, the divers, well, the inside seems to have been turned in the case , it doesn't work, so might be another job for Variomatic... (£3) ironically my most expensive Car booty find.

This one, I found on Ebay. It is unusual because of the "crest" in the middle and it's an award watch for the Royal Oman Police. Back in the mid / early 80's Sultan Qaboos gave out Seiko watches like this to all members of the Armed forces and Police to celebrate his National Day. Each had it's own particular crest (Navy an Anchor crest, RGO (Royal Guard Oman) had their crest and likewise for the SOAF) The reason I knew what it was is due to the fact my Dad spent 25 years there , and I can remember these being handed out, mainly because he didn't get one despite being in the Royal Yacht Squadron, he got a Rolex instead smile .

I picked it up on Ebay for $25 all the way from the states. non original strap, I have no idea what model it is, but it does work, keeps time, although I'm not sure if the diamonds are real or the scripting along the bottom. There is no information on the web that I can see,but anyone (Z4Chris99) who was there at the time will know about it or have heard of them. shame the info is a bit sketchy really, as I'd be interested to know the value and if there are any Seiko collectors out there interested.

I'm sure this would be much the same for most high end watch manufacturers but I just love the pride they take in what they do, and the craftsmanship they display.

I will have a Grand Seiko one day, preferably a Snowflake. That said, if I could ever afford a Credor Eichi II then I'd be in heaven.

There seems to be something of a fashion for faux gold watches at the moment, so rightly or wrongly, for that reason, I wouldn't buy it.

Wow Hamish,

That is a seriously nice piece of kit. The rubber strap suits it well.

Alright had it a couple of days now. Great watch, good lume and the band does look nice but here's the catch. I don't know if it's my flabby wrists but the strap isn't that comfortable to be honest or it might be just me being used to a smooth metal band. I'm thinking should've bought the sun019 same watch but all metal but I really do like the yellow accents on this one.
