It says it's an 1191 and looks like one from this link :

That said, someone in the US is trying to sell a good one for $2200, so 'perceived' values seem a bit variable.

Oddly enough the steel ones are rarer than the gold ones http://cgi.ebay.fr/Montre-BREITLING-Chrono-1950-/1...

They're a knowledgeable bunch on there, I bought my Cosmonaute from a member there.

No Airwolfs and then two come along at once!
On the original bracelet:
And as it is right now, prefer the leather personally:
Battery died at about 15 months (I think it was quite old stock when I bought it as it's the earlier sunburst face) and it was replaced under warranty.
Prefer the leather too, think blue leather (or croc) would really set the watch off. Do you switch straps regularly & what tool kit do you use?On the original bracelet:

Does anyone know if £4166 is a good price for the Montbrillant Datora (white dial, silver strap)?
What's more desirable, the World or Montbrillant?
In the UK, that price is probably acceptable. A bracelet is about a grand. I paid 3200 for a new Datora. What's more desirable, the World or Montbrillant?
The silver dial on the Datora or World are both stunning. What's more desirable? Personal preferences, but I find 46mm world too big. The 43mm Datora is perfect.

I took a punt on the Breitling leather strap as the price was right but now I have the buckle I might get a nice quality aftermarket one in blue. When the warranty repair was done the watch shop kindly swapped it over for free when it came back- I did look into getting the tools but I didn't want to risk losing the watch due to my shoddy skills!Importr said:

Today's the day that I need to decide as I'm heading home. The silver dial on the Datora or World are both stunning. What's more desirable? Personal preferences, but I find 46mm world too big. The 43mm Datora is perfect.
Spoke to a UK dealer and he said those prices are approximately 29.5% below UK prices.
The World does feel a bit bulky compared to Datora I must say. And I haven't exactly got huge wrists to accommodate it.
I think if I was to go for the World I'd eventually get a silver bracelet, where the Datora already has one.
£3200 seems mega cheap for a new Datora?
Well, I went back to the shop and after a long process of trying each one on a million times, I ended up buying...
Navitimer World. Well chuffed with it. The Datora is beautiful but I kept going back to the World because I've wanted one for so long.
Will get photos up when I get home.
