Thanks.. The service cost £374, including a new crystal..

This was the first service, since purchasing the watch over 10 years ago. I have had the battery replaced by an AD 4 times during this period. The alarm on the watch failed a few years ago and there were a lot of marks on the bracelet and crystal as its my daily wear and over the years I had became less precious about it. The final straw was the crown failing.

The crown replacement is part of the service and a 'best possible refurb'. Given the state of the watch when it went in to how it looks and feels now it was worth very penny.. I was thinking of trading it on, now I think it will stay for a while longer and be joined by Seiko, to share the daily wear, for other than best, and an Omega Sea/Speed Master, at some point, as I really want a Chrono or two in the repository..

My daily, also have an older Colt Superocean that the wife pinched, the Chronomat needs a re-furb desparately, but not high on the list of priorities right now:

Looks great and worth the money. I nearly bought a B1 seven years ago and do miss the digital on my aerospace, I will own one again one day smile

I've kinda got 2 new Breitlings.

Managed to pick up two clocks from an AD going out of business.

The Emergency is 10" across, and the black one is 2 foot across.

I have just been told that the breitling rubber strap with breitling written on will be available to buy again next year. I love this strap.
