Let's see your Breitling.

Just received my 2001 colt ocean auto back from the service centre.
It had a complete overhaul which includes a full refurbishment and a replacement of the centre case as I clumsily managed to drop it on the crown.
It has come back after 9 weeks fully serviced and looking just like new.
Cost was £495
£186 of that was the centre case.

How much do these trips back to breitling cost? Does the watch come back 'as new' and fully serviced?
Mine was a complete "factory fresh overhaul" with all necessary moving parts removed, cleaned and replaced where necessary. From the invoice: Complete overhaul includes dismantling, cleaning and checking all components, replacement of worn movement parts, assembly, oiling, various adjustments. Best possible refurbishing of the case and metal bracelet, replacement of all gaskets and water resistant test. Exchange of hands included in above.
Came back 100% perfect
Returned to me in the Tunbridge Wells Service Centre in a nice new soft travel case for £360 all in

that's not too bad, better than I thought it would be. Turn around time seems a bit long but worth it if watch returns like new.
May I ask how often you get it serviced? Every 5 years or could you go longer if it's keeping good time?

I have 15 watches so their use is diluted and with that I feel that their servicing intervals can be longer.
My service breakdown was as the poster above but with middle case added to the invoice.
The monogrammed soft case it was returned in complete with Breitling polishing cloth was a nice touch too.

Thanks for the replies Taafy and Grey Ghost, those costs don't seem too bad at all for a close to new refurb and service. Plus if servicing intervals can be stretched a little that helps absorb the cost.
I'm about to buy a new Breitling so was just preparing myself for any future costs, not too worried now.

Breitling recommend a full refurb every 4-6 years depending on how the watch is used. Well worth every penny given the purchase price of these watches.Have a look at www.breitling.com/en/service
Got my watch back from Breitling and it looks great.
I drove to Tunbridge Wells to pick it up and was very impressed with the service centre. It's a bit like the Breitling Boutique I went to in NY and a bit James Bond film set! Anyway I took a few pics.
The window is to the right of the reception desk, I could have stood there all day!!

Managed to pick up two clocks from an AD going out of business.
The Emergency is 10" across, and the black one is 2 foot across.
