Should say also - they're pretty versatile. Here's mine on a black leather strap. Back on the bracelet now but makes a nice change.
Gorgeous...Can someone please post the exact model number for this watchand if possible the make of this exact same strap..
Many thanks...Paul
Paid 700 euros for the automatic while in Italy last week

Wow! Paid 700 euros for the automatic while in Italy last week
I've always been after a Longines auto, and that's one of the few sub styles I like because of the nice big clear numbers.
I bought this the other day:
Only 200m but it's an auto and looks very fine, found a rubber strap version for about $100 via amazon.
So if the Longines is the value Omega, the Orient is the value Longines
Can you post a real photo of your Longines up? Manufacturers photos always make the watch look rubbish compared to real life for some reason.
Plus is there both a blue and a black version or is that just lighting?

Stunning in blue! Always thought I'd get a black one but not so sure now...
Wonder if there will be any deals to be had as the new model starts hitting the dealers?
I can't understand why anyone would buy the black over the blue, personally (I know everyone has their own taste obviously ).Wonder if there will be any deals to be had as the new model starts hitting the dealers?
The black's nice, but it looks like lots of other watches, whilst the blue's much more distinctive.
I've got lots of black faced watches, but the HC is best in blue!

Well I picked this up yesterday, and I'm rather pleased with it.
The photos don't really do it justice, it looks fantastic in the flesh and is remarkable value for money. The quality of the lime isn't all that great but that's the only negative. I much prefer the looks of this to the replacement, which looks a little "cluttered to me".
I'd never really considered a Longines until I saw this thread, but while picking this up I saw the Admiral GMT - another great looking piece. I might have to start saving again...
I'm absolutely delighted.

Perhaps Tissot got some Dulux gloss magnolia cheap and reckoned no-one would notice if they used it as lume.
My Seiko remains the best lume I have ever seen, it's always glowing away, looks very pretty.
My Orient Mako isn't bad lume either, similar to my Omega in brightness - but King Of Lume award is firmly Seiko.

What's the easiest way to take steel bracelet off? Can someone recommend

I bought a watch tool kit from Maplin for £10. Spring bar tool, case-back remover, tweezers and air-blowy duster thing. The spring bar tool alone is £4. It did the job swapping from bracelet to strap on my Hydroconquest just fine. I have bought strap and watch..

Or search for the proper Swiss Bergeon Spring Bar Tool on ebay etc, I got one of these and it makes the job very easy. Especially when operating on watches over £1k...
I've got one of these, but I'm not convinced it actually does anything different to the eBay £1.99 ones M.
