I'm not sure if Smiths are still trading in terms of automotive stuff but Timefactors purchased the trademark to produce watches bearing the name a while back.

I took delivery of a new one today, clearly not chosen for accurate timekeeping!

Ive never really been sure about these. I suspect that I would prefer one in silver metal. I have a silver and yellow Date which I am equally unsure about, although it is obviously a far cheaper watch. It has grown on my a little, but I think that a yellow Day Date is just too much.

Exactly the same as mine with tapestry dial! Cant beat the original as part of a collection.

But, of course, the Smiths name on watches has a long and well established history.

Whatever your view on Timefactors, the Everest is a lot of watch for the money! (I speak only as a happy owner, although I sold mine recently to fund something more exotic).

I really like this! However, having bought two watches in as many weeks (collecting the second tomorrow), I think it'll be a while before I can get another without some marital consequence hehe

It was my 3rd in 3 weeks. The wife not particularly enamoured, but this one was ordered months ago.

These were the other 2:

My Nomos Glashutte Orion 1989 (38mm) - really pleased with the colour which the photo doesn't do justice.

(Please excuse the rubbish picture - no AR coating plus iPhone)

I managed to resist, just... I've no idea how many they had though they sold out the same day the offer went live.

A Suunto Core Graphite Crush. Excuse being I 'needed' one for sailing, but I doubt I'll be doing much of that until next year now.

Also contemplating a Smiths Everest, but I'm not sure if that might feel a tad small.

Does this count? Ordered on a Vitality health insurance promo. Should only cost me £99 if I keep up the monthly activity rate. Went for the grey and black strap in the end as the neon might look a bit too lively with a suit!
