My Rolex AD has received their technical handbooks from Tudor in the past week so I can only assume my Pelagos will be in before I know it. I did hear a buzz that Goldsmiths aren't launching them anymore, does anyone have the scoop?

Not surprised (if true), as Aurum have by far the biggest share of the UK Rolex market. I think the idea is to re-launch Tudor as a separate brand. Unlike the old days where every Rolex AD was expected to stock the Tudor range. This was normally shown in an inside cabinet, or left in the safe. Tudor may be looking to major in stores that do not stock Rolex. Just my 2cents, and could be totally wrong!

Glad to read that you're on the mend Ed. clap

I'm alive guys, and quite possibly cancer free. Surgery went really well this morning and they did it all keyhole. Tumour came out cleanly with no complications snd there is no evidence of it spreading anywhere else. I shall sleep well tonight!
Don't come on this thread often, so I only just saw this post. Fantastic news, Eddie! Now don't try to push the recovery too hard or fast - summer's on its way (allegedly) and you've more than earned the chance to take it easy for a bit wink

No such luck for me mate. You know how it goes when running your own business. Im back in the saddle on Thursday. Only 2 weeks after major surgery and only a week after my missus had an emergency C-section. Just making the most of this high before normality resumes. At least the inlaws are here to help out......oh wait! The mother in law went wibble today over a baby photo she wasn't in and now won't talk to the wife. Need a care home quick!

Ok, it was maybe wishful thinking smile All the same, recovery from this isn't like soldiering on with your missing leg "just a flesh wound" - leave that sort of crap to the youngsters who're still in wink

Nice, understated compared to some of their stuff!

Different to the stuff you typically see – they have some very nice designs, both simple and with complications.

I really do like it.

Domed crystal, internal rotating bezel, nice touches of yellow and orange, seems very well made.

Nice case design, especially at that angle where you can see the interplay between brushed surface and polished.

This arrived in the post today:

A Steinhart Apollon.

Not everyone's cuppa, I suspect, but I rather liked in photos and it's lived up to my expectation in the titantium and brass too.

M
Pre-owned? The brass has a bit of patina to it...

What they going for second hand? £400 odd new aren't they?

Always liked the grey strap on these. Big buggers though.
Yes used, 440 Euros (plus postage) new.

I paid under £300.

M.
I got sick of watching and searching for a s/h Steinhart and as these are now going for just over list I just went for a new one. Here's a quick phone pic after unboxing and sizing....

This arrived today. I've always wanted an Aerospace, and this one ticked almost all of the boxes.

I have an earlier one (non-italic numbers) with a different bracelet. Tough watch, love mine. Had it over 15 years now.

Do the later ones tell the time in beeps, when you press the crown?

Yes, Podie. It does so in a bizarre R2D2 impression!

hehe

The first set of beeps are the hours.

It then does the minutes, but a double beep ("dee-do" sound) means 15 minutes.

So.. beep, beep, beep - 3

Dee-do, dee-do, beep, beep, beep, - 32

Easy when you know how smile
