Despite not really liking the look of it I've just ordered a limited edition Bremont Royal Marines Commando. Im on my phone so can't post pics but it should be here some time in the next few weeks. Just needs my service number authorised by the Marines. Judging by other bremont special editions it should gain value in the right circles.

Good reduction from rrp for the Marines model too. Im sure I'll be ok with it when it arrives. Just wasn't keen on the corps colours printed on the face.

The jeweler who handled my GMT II service with RSC has just sent me an email to say they have the new SD4000c in the store and it's mine if I want it...

Price is $10,400, apparently, so around £6,120... Seems reasonable if they didn't get that price wrong (thought they had an SDc at that the other week).

I wasn't going to get one without selling other pieces but that seems good, especially if I can claim the tax back when I move home in the next 2-4 weeks!

Well, in my excitement, I'd forgotten that I do live in the US so that $10,400 is the tax free price. I'm moving home in July so could have it for that but £6,100 tax free doesn't seem so good now frown

Would be better waiting a while longer and seeing if I can't get one flying out of the UK as that ought to be a fair bit cheaper and they've been trading in the £5s I've noticed on US eBay.

I will, however, pop over and try it on!

They only have one 'in store'... If it is there tomorrow, I shall get some wrist pics up, from my 90s Blackberry, as usual!

I am excited but I just don't know if it is worth say my 16600SD AND my Zenith 1969...

I hear you... It's why I need a discount wink

I am also jobless after today... My company messed up my US visa so I have to leave the country before I am deported... I do not have another job to go to, yet...

You have given me just one option? Are you feeling ok, old chum?

That's some keen pricing there... It's also, probably, the reason I could never buy a new Rolex (again)... Too much value on the 2nd hand market!

Though I must admit to being somewhat surprised these aren't 'holding value', at least initially.

Cracking piece. Had several Damasko watches. This one is a long term keeper

What a lovely pair! smile

That red-brown strap really suits a white-faced Damasko thumbup
