I must get around to have a close look at one and get it on my wrist....especially after such glowing reports.

Unlike you though, my choice will be easy and the SD4000c will get the nod over my 16610 Sub because of the advantages of the maxi dial and matte dial with my ageing eyesight frown
And after all that... I just bought a 16610 Sub, which I didn't need... It was too good a price to say 'no' to!

I will look at thinning the collection down when I get home! I don't need all the watches I have, I've decided!

How do you choose between a 16600, 16610 and 16710 (Zenith EP Original 1969 will go for sure, I reckon)?

YOU
ARE
KIDDING????

But it's just like your other watches! :-)

I suppose I should confess to quite fancying a pre ceramic no date Sub!

LOL - I honestly couldn't say no! Full set; B&P etc and apparently safe queen condition...

It'll almost certainly get flipped at some point, being a jobless in a couple of weeks!

Tempted to put everything up for sale and then just keeping the two that are left!

Who needs more than two watches??? wink

Nice, but not for me. I was never a 40 resident. Actually, I never served at a main unit in my 10 years. Dunno how!! HMS Monmouth in the Gulf, CLR, FPGRM and UKLFCSG.......and out!
The Bremont has arrived and I'm very happy with it. It doesn't look chad at all in my opinion. I've taken some photos but as I'm not very artistic they are rubbish compared to some on here. I'll put them up later as I need to modify them on my PC to remove my service number.

Here you go. Sorry about the phone pics and paintshop edit. You may make out the serial number of 213 which is my date of birth (21/3)

It's the first £200+ watch I've ever owned and I quite like it. I was worried that the G&L on the back would be too much and that it would look too big on my skinny wrist. Very happy so far. The box and packaging was also very impressive and there was also a Bremont T-shirt in the box.

As mentioned it also came with a green NATO strap and I also ordered a steel bracelet. Theres a fabric strap tool so I attempted to fit the NATO strap but chickened out just incase I marked the watch. The instructions recommend a jeweler fits the bracelet but I'll need it shortened anyway.

I'm trying not to be too precious with it but I cant help it. I'm the same with nearly everything I own. It will likely end up as a weekeend only watch as it will get ruined in work.

I ordered it in March so I guess mine may be one of the first issued so no idea when yours may be ready. I just received an email stating it was ready once i paid the final balance.

Looks really good mate. Much better in proper photos. What's the weight like? I quite like a heavy watch.

Ref straps, ive got something very pussers to go on when the watch arrives.

Im holding out for 007/350. The numbers are going out at random.

Corps pattern strap?

It weighs 147g on my kitchen scales with the rubber strap. No idea how this compares but feels a lot weightier than my Gshock

On the order form I requested 213 or 321. I did consider maybe asking for a Corps Memorable date but assumed they would have been requested early on.

016 and 064 (1664) and 350 are all going for auction.

Might send an email asking for 007 then.

COR LOOK AT THAT!!!!!!!

Don't worry about being precious with it, do whatever you feel, it is a precious thing after all!

There is plenty of time for the "novelty" to wear off so for now enjoy the whole thing!

I had no idea what yours was going to look like and I've been kind of thinking about a Terra Nova recently.

Congratulations, really enjoy it, Bremont do lots of great straps, some are made by Gas Gas Bones so take a look at them for even more choice!

Finally got my hands on a used Tudor Pelagos today. I tried one on a while back and loved it. Slightly bigger than my Rolex Sub and thicker too. Less blingy, but still smart enough for desk/office wearing. Came on NATO and an un-worn metal strap. I fitted the rubber strap today which is comfy so far.

Few pics (the lume is pretty good!)

I was wondering when yours would be arriving, Eddie. Mine has barely left my wrist since I got it. I keep saying it but I really need to thin the collection down a bit. Some just get no wear whatsoever now.

Just pushed the button on a Bulova Precisionist Wilton Chrono 97B122

Review here: http://www.ablogtowatch.com/bulova-precisionist-wi...

Not normally a quartz man, but this really appealed and I got it at a very good price (assuming I've not been scammed! hehe )

Was hoping it'd be here by now but stock is slow arriving at AD. I could just buy one off C24 or TZ but I am getting mine cost price off a friend.
