Excellent choice! Mine is on my wrist now. Love mine!
Cheers! Really looking forward to seeing it on my wrist tomorrow (well, today now!). Apparently it's the first watch with his new hand design, in particular the new trademark 3-pointer running second hand.Fatrat (and the other pistonheaders with an OFFSHORE Professional), if you fancy the new hands on your watch then just send it back to me and I'll upgrade it for free. I've actually slightly redesigned the hour hand and the running seconds hand as well to make them just perfect.
Jep, I also own an OFFSHORE and am confused. Have you left the chronograph running on your watch? On mine and the other I've seen the main second hand sits stationary at 12 o'clock, as does the top and bottom sub-dial.
Lorne, I may well take you up on that offer. I'll drop you an email tomorrow.

People of PH who asked why the OFFSHORE is so favoured on Pistonheads. This is why.TimLambert7 said:

Hi Tim, I confess that I haven't pressed any buttons since it was delivered (I haven't needed to as Lorne set it to the right time!), however it's in sync with the 3-handed second hand so I guess it's been running from the start!Lorne, I may well take you up on that offer. If you press the top button to stop it, then the bottom button - does the large second hand return to zero?

Yep, all works as it should Tim.
Pretty sure you should leave the chronograph at 0. If you run it all the time it'll drastically affect the running time of the watch. Can any other owners, or Lorne himself, offer clarification on this? I may well be wrong.
Running the chronograph continuously will only slightly slow the movement as it is an integrated chronograph and not a module on a standard movement, and you can run it continuously or leave it parked; whatever is your preference. I set the timing to run slightly fast (aim at 5 to 10 seconds a day) because a new movement generally (but not always) tends to slow by a few seconds as it runs in and I think it always better to have a watch that runs slightly fast so that you're never late for anything.
As and when I get around to making a woman's watch I'll make sure it runs really fast!
Here's mine. Old style hands but I did paint the trident white to see if it looked good.
Having wanted a German watch for a while and concluded that A. Lange & Sohne are out of my price range, i've just ordered one of these Schaumberg's:
It's an ETA 2824 inside so whilst not being an interesting (or German!) movement, it should work well enough and be reliable.
Reasonably priced too. I can't remember the exact price due to the exchange rate, but it was about £660. It was either this or a Union Glashutte.
Anyone know what the red numbers are for around the edge of the face? They look a bit like tachymetre markings but there's no chronograph....?

Nice, well done for making a bold move to something not beginning with B, O, or R – although funds may've dictated that already.
The markings are as you suspect – it's not a requirement to have a chrono function, as the second hand is hackable, but obviously that'll throw the timekeeping off if used that way.
It's more a nod at than a fully-fledged function, but there if needed, without having to compromise on the type of watch you prefer – in this case, a three-hander with single crown.

Lucky git. Mine was approved today so just waiting for an engraving slot and final balance request. Ive sent an email to make it snappy! How long did yours take? Need pics!
Here you go. Sorry about the phone pics and paintshop edit. You may make out the serial number of 213 which is my date of birth (21/3)It's the first £200+ watch I've ever owned and I quite like it. I was worried that the G&L on the back would be too much and that it would look too big on my skinny wrist. Very happy so far. The box and packaging was also very impressive and there was also a Bremont T-shirt in the box.
As mentioned it also came with a green NATO strap and I also ordered a steel bracelet. Theres a fabric strap tool so I attempted to fit the NATO strap but chickened out just incase I marked the watch. The instructions recommend a jeweler fits the bracelet but I'll need it shortened anyway.
I'm trying not to be too precious with it but I cant help it. I'm the same with nearly everything I own. It will likely end up as a weekeend only watch as it will get ruined in work.
I ordered it in March so I guess mine may be one of the first issued so no idea when yours may be ready. I just received an email stating it was ready once i paid the final balance.

Finally succumbed to one of these:
+ an oyster and a mesh bracelet from wjean. Contemplating what mods, I might do (hands and maybe an anti-reflective sapphire), but no rush.
So, the jubilee strap is a bit rubbish (hardly news...) but hopefully the oyster or the shark mesh straps will sort that out.+ an oyster and a mesh bracelet from wjean. Contemplating what mods, I might do (hands and maybe an anti-reflective sapphire), but no rush.
Looking at different hands (something simpler which compliments the dial markers) and may put a green Kermit bezel on it. Or maybe a red one.
Overall, I like the size and feel of it, and the fact that I don't have to be too precious with it.
