Well, I could try signing the cheque over and re-presenting it, but nt sure how much use £9 18s & 6d would be nowadays smile

eta: apparently, it wouldn't have been a bad investment. thisismoney reckons inflation would have taken it to £185 in todays terms, so if I sell for £190 I'm in profit :P

Congratulations! An elegant watch with a very interesting movement. I think that is my favourite of the CW range.

Just for the record, the answer was given when someone offered me 6x what I paid for it yesterday without me having to do the overhaul. Much as I liked it, that wasn't to be turned down!

Agreed, a very fine looking thing, probably CW's best along with the C9 Harrison 5 day. I just wish they'd knock a few mil off the case size, dictated by the movement though I'd guess.

found a website selling 70s/80s era Soviet watches and curios. Went to buy one and came away with erm... 7. Very aware these won't be to everyones' taste, and they certainly are not posh. Quite the opposite in fact, which is entirely why I like them.

if you google "soviet watches" there are a few retailers that spring up! The place I used was the one-man band on Etsy.

Cheers, had a look earlier & thought it might've been that one. Assume all ok w/ money & delivery if coming from E Europe?

Hello from no. 067 damn fine watch, any pics yet

Edited to say I've just found them on the other thread, very nice on the bracelet. Have you tried changing straps yet? It looks like it could be tricky.

Forgot to update this one... Not tried to change to the strap yet.

My Father has number 53 as thats his birth year and he is a massive fan of watches so I got that for his birthday.

New toy arrived today. Number 078 after my birth year of 1978... God I feel old, will make a nice addition to the Planet Ocean.

Box it arrived in

Time to open her up

Up close of the dog tag usb drive with the watch details

Finally a few of the watch
