Received today and I am already smitten.
Can't see my deep sea getting as much wrist time now this has arrived.

Had three spaces in the watchbox driving me mad, Picked up 2 long-term 'wants' and one 1976 Seiko Grand Quartz with a blue textured dial. Just liked the style of it - no pics sadly, seller took them down frown

Have wanted a quartz grab-and-go since I sold my Sinn UX - this Tuna is quite well known and I liked it last time it was for sale! The Pelagos... not sure how much wear it'll get with an LV Sub at home, I will see.

I should have said it was the sellers photo. Wont get to have it on my wrist until next Wed when I get home from work.

Just wrote and asked Steinhart if they plan on releasing an orange strap for it.

Yes, sorry, I wasn't meaning to be critical of your choice, I know they're very popular and I really DO think they look great in photos, but I just couldn't get on with the one I had, try as I might.

I think it's my loss, but I'll have to live with it smile

Don't worry, I wasn't being defensive. It was bought as a project, see what I could do with it. Arrived today, bracelet off and bezel off awaiting more bits and pieces.

Basically, I wanted a project, and a small dive watch as I have small wrists. All without spending a lot.

Forgot to add last time, I have one of these on pre-order

Sold this about a year ago and always kind of regretted it. Fortunately it turned up on TZ-UK yesterday so we'll be reunited on Friday smile

You could always try a Borealis if not, they do orange rubber straps

I saw your post on the SC add, I thought that might have been yours originally. I know it's not a minter but it was up for a proper bargain, that was yes

Yeah, I owned it for quite a while and wore it almost everyday. They are always pretty expensive on eBay, Chrono 24 etc and they are quite rare on TZ-UK so I was made up when it appeared. I don't mind the odd mark as I made a few of them and it'll no doubt be getting a few more!

Aye, that's an option. I like the thickness of the OEM strap and the clasp as well. Very Ploprof which was what attracted me to it. If not then I'll get an isofrane clone for it.

Very nice ^^^^

I've been after a vintage Omega for a while and have one like this, sourced from Mike Wood, which should arrive by the weekend:

Hopefully my new watch arrives tomorrow, rather than a brick in a box.

I never saw the appeal of Russian watches, I particularly dislike many of the dials. However this,

is on the way.

It'll be coming off the bracelet and going on a nato (might get a dark blue one for it) Then I'm going to attempt to strip the chrome off the bezel, so it's back to the underlying brass. The rest of the case is going to be brushed carefully, probably with a scouring pad.

If the bezel thing doesn't work out, I'll just order one of the custom bezels that can take an insert for a Seiko 007.
Not 100% happy, the brushing might get some more work.

As requested, photos of my Obris Morgan Explorer II

A well engineered piece, in my opinion, and I'm really pleased for what was a $180 purchase. I pre-ordered it, got an email when it was being assembled and passed QC. Sent via DHL -took three days.

Black face, blue bezel, light blue font. Fantastic lume, comes with a rubber strap as well as a nice little tool. Screw links and lug - so adjusting/changing bracelet is really easy. You get spare screws as well.

200m, has a HEV, sapphire crystal, triple sealed crown......

Not sure how they do it for the money!

Sorry, photos were right way up on my ipad!

Sorry, did you say $180? Is that not missing a zero?

I started shopping for a 40th present for ~£2k. Looking at that, I might well be buying two for ~£2.1k...

hehe

I think they sold out just on pre-order alone.

Full price is $280...still great value for money though!
