A couple of recent cheapo additions to my collection

First up, Casio edifice EFR-518SB

Invicta grand diver auto with a seiko NH35A movement

I know invicta have their critics but this is one of the better efforts. Finish and features are very good for less than £100 and it loses around 4 seconds per 24 hours.

I've gone back to where I started with my first 'proper' watch. I have a Milgauss GV incoming. I had a white dial Milgauss a few years ago and I adored it. I thought I was bored of it and sold it in the end. Ever since letting it go, I have yearned for another. I've tried a few other brands in the meantime, namely Tudor and JLC but they didn't fill the void, so I have given in and bought another Milgauss, but this time a GV. Cannot wait to get my hands on it. I'm currently working in Brazil so the next 5 weeks are going to be a long 5 weeks!

Treated myself to this;

Apologies for the crappy website pictures. I've fancied a JLC for a while and always liked the Reverso. This one really struck me when I saw it. I'll be moving on my TAG Heuer Silverstone to make way for it.

Just picked this up in Berlin its a 1995 model in 18k . It isn't worth the money but is a 'good' investment at the price.

Are they going up in value?

Just ordered this yesterday:

It's an Aqua Terra Gauss - model number O23110422101002. I've ordered it from Germany where it's a heck of a lot cheaper. Should be here by end of May.

Off the back of the Bond previews?

Sort of. I looked at the Bond watch but don't like the Bond crest on the second hand. Also, for pretty much the same watch, this was a lot cheaper than the pre order price of the Bond.

I really like these. Do you mind if I ask how much cheaper it was getting it from Germany?

Probably, Rolex up their prices every year by 7 percent so considering at 1995 its fully depreciated the only way is up slowly. Better than money in the bank. Obviously not worth the 23k new or the 7k used I paid otherwise.

I've been thinking of getting one of those for a while. I was in Moscow when they came out in the UK and I asked every Omega place I could find if they had one but they weren't out. I still haven't seen one in person. Let me know how it is because I'm very interested!

Great. I had forgotten about them a bit but it looks like I may have to save up again!

In other news I have fallen in love with my Speedmaster Professional again (after not wearing it for about 9 months).

And I have a Hamilton on its way to me this week.

Well, I'm very happy with it. It has a very slightly smaller case than I expected, but I think it's just because it smaller than my previous watch. I've just had a couple of links taken out of the bracelet and it's very comfortable. I'd certainly recommend buying from Montredo in Germany. Very good communication and at least £600 saved.
