I actually got the reference number wrong on this post - the correct reference number is 5980 /1A-001
Thanks, yes I did google for 5780 and couldn't find anything.Went to Patek in London yesterday and NO Nautilus stock other than a STUNNING full Rose Gold version which was unfortunately a little rich for my blood at over £50k! Then went around all the main dealers in mayfair/regent street and not a Nautillus in sight, other than one with a white face which I did not like. Felt it didn't suit me.
Some APs did catch my eye during my travels to the capital though... might try one in the interim. Now to decide which model!

Had this a couple of weeks: Helson Shark Diver 40 mm in blue. I wanted a 'tool' dive watch that was under £500 but not a homage. I love the unique look and the quality is excellent.
£380 new
Miyota 9015 movement - slightly noisier than an ETA2824 but is running at <-0.5 sec/day! Very impressed.
500 m
12 mm thick so fits under a cuff whilst retaining a chunky look
40 mm, sapphire covered bezel
My wrist is just over 7".

Cheap beater incoming here. Wanted something interesting to replace my Timex Weekender that i've had for years and ticks so loud it keeps me up at night unless i stuff it at the back of a drawer!
Went for a Smiths NATO PRS 40... something a bit different with the case design and 12 o'clock crown position!

I've been looking for a Seiko Cocktail Time for a while, considered new but most sellers seem to be the US or Japan and didn't want to get hit with import charges on top. This morning I had an offer accepted on a lightly used 'excellent condition' watch in the UK so should have it by the end of the week.
Can't wait to get it and see if it really is as nice as it looks. Pics to follow...

Just done a deal on this rare beast
Sellers pic for now of course
Is that a watch to wear only on your right wrist? Crown on left of name on face of watch. Odd looking but a nice watch nonetheless!Sellers pic for now of course
I'll be wearing mine on the right wrist.
Autavia's have the crown on the left & the chrono pushers on the right

Thanks. Not from LTF, but from Jason C
Whilst out doing some shopping with the other half in Florida i popped into the Citizen shop and came out with an EcoZilla diving watch. I doubt the watch will get very wet in my possession never mind go diving. Someone elses pic:
The plan is to get a strap adaptor for it and add a metal or nato strap.

Just arrived and unpacked. One of the watches I have pre-ordered via Kickstarter.
Not bad at all for $230.
It's a nice looking watch, especially for $230, but surely the logo is wrong.Just arrived and unpacked. One of the watches I have pre-ordered via Kickstarter.

Mercer is old english for a fabric merchant, so perhaps the cutlass should be this:
My wife's grandfather passed away recently and I was given first dibs on the chap's watches. These were both sat in a drawer. The rotary is worth buttons but it's clean and hand wound. The omega is pure 1970s marmite. It's keeping time nicely. I reckon the Camille Fournet alligator strap I've stuck it on is worth more the watch!
