Lovely... and far more practical than a jumper!I was perusing eBay last night and noticed someone selling one of these:
It looks pretty nice IMO (much nicer with the rubber strap vs the bracelet) and it's a Precisionist so pretty unique and has to all intents and purposes a sweeping second hand.
A bit more searching and I found that Goldsmiths of all people are selling them new for £115. This seems like a bit of a steal.
Worth a punt? Or is it garbage?

The second hand isn't 'to all intents and purposes' a sweep second hand - its a smoother sweep than any mechanical watch you can by. Its eerily smooth!
Battery life is supposed to be 12 months but mines been running for over 2 years so far and still not had a battery. I use it as the reference for setting the time on any of my other watches its so accurate.
At that price its a bargain and I'd go for it if the style suits you.
One of the few quartz watches I'd consider owning (along with the original Tag Formula 1).
I said "to all intents and purposes" as technically it does still tick, just much more frequently than any other watch movement. Spring Drive being the only true sweeper as far as I know.
I'm pondering cancelling my Steinhart order and grabbing one of these and an Orient sun and moon for about half the price all in. Then again I do quite fancy some proper Swissness...

You could get the Steinhart and the Precisionist....;-)
This is like mine (mine has a croc strap):

This is the first time I've had anything of note "incoming" so here it is:
Hopefully should be here in 2 or 3 weeks
I like that a LOT, begining to think I prefer that to the one I've just boughtHopefully should be here in 2 or 3 weeks
Just got a Steinhart Ocean 1 Green (Kermit sub lookylikey). Hopefully it will be there waiting for me when I get back home on Friday.

Had mine for a while now, and I've not had to worry about the battery yet.
Nice solidity to it, but without being too big and overtly flashy.
The beast arrived this morning and although big, it's not as comically large as I feared it would be. This is mainly because the watch isn't visually as big as the official dimensions would suggest. Casio state 59.1mm length for the case length but the lug to lug is actually only around 50 mm and the bezel is around 43mm in diameter. It's no shrinking violet but as G-Shocks go it's not bad at all. It's nicely finished and for less than £200 I think pretty good value.

Would love that if it didn't have the slightly off piste backplate shape. It doesn't seem to fit with the watch face. Otherwise a beauty! Nice and simple. What's the damage for something like that?
That'll be the camera angleThey list at $2490, but I believe they ship from Europe (so about £1600).
I managed to get this 2nd hand, so a bit less!
